Calcula stores your files encrypted on your own device. We operate no servers, require no account, show no ads and collect no data.

On your device: the photos and videos you import into the private area, encrypted with AES-256-GCM, together with their encrypted names, dates and thumbnails; your preferences and Pro purchase state; calculator history and memory. None of it is ever sent to us or to third parties. Your encryption key is protected by your passcode and kept in the system keychain.

Optional backup (Calcula Pro): files are uploaded already encrypted to your own iCloud (iPhone) or your own Google Drive (Android). We never see them. So that you can restore on a new phone, the backup includes your encryption key wrapped with your passcode. Calcula is therefore not zero-knowledge: someone with access to your iCloud or Google account and your passcode could open the backup.

Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play; we never see your payment details.

Network: the calculator and private area work offline. The app connects only when you back up or restore, and when the store verifies your purchase.

Limits: Calcula protects against someone picking up your phone. It is not designed to withstand forensic analysis by a well-resourced adversary. A forgotten passcode cannot be recovered by anyone.

Children: not directed at children under 13; no data is collected from anyone.

Your control: deleting the app deletes all files on the device; you can delete your backup from the app or from your iCloud or Google account settings.
